Lest We Forget
Om Remembrance Sunday it’s appropriate that we should remember the sacrifices that others made so that we may live in peace.
Our duty to honour those who paid the ultimate price is not fulfilled in a single ceremony on a single day. We have a duty to remember at all times, the true horrors of war, both nuclear and conventional and to commit ourselves to peace and justice.
We must overcome our inherent and natural desire to dominate and develop a world of reason where it becomes natural to cooperate, because the death, destruction and suffering of all warfare should be too horrific to contemplate, too horrific to broadcast.
