Stance at a Glance

According to polling, here are the top 10 issues on which the public want to see action (Jan 2026)

  1. Immigration and Asylum:

Ranked as the #1 priority by voters entering 2026, with nearly one in four (23%) identifying it as the top issue

We have to work with our European friends to ensure that those who enable human trafficking are stopped. We have to be tougher on the criteria for granting asylum which has to be more than an individual’s claim of a fear of persecution. We have to work with the countries whose citizens end up in Britain to ensure failed asylum seekers are returned home. In short we have to be tougher on asylum claimants, but must not abandon compassion or reason. More
