There are many reasons why Labour lost so heavily and Reform gained so much in the recent Welsh Senedd, Scottish Parliament and English local elections.
The age of the old 2 party dominance is over. People got tired of the failings of the Tory party with too many scandals, lies and disastrous policies, and now people are tired of Labour who seem to have no mission, passion for change or ability to connect with ordinary people.
So the vacuum that has been left has been filled by Reform and to some extent by the Greens with the Lib Dems consolidating their position with a few gains.
Our First Past The Post voting system is particularly unsuited to multi party politics. The people cannot be fairly represented when the party with a minority of the vote share gains the majority of the seats.
The British people deserve better.
We need Proportional Representation Now.
